Robert and Bridget, Baron and Baroness of Hidden Mountain, invite you to Baronial Birthday for a weekend of celebration in honor of Hidden Mountain’s 39th name day. The past four wonderful years with Baron Robert and Baroness Bridget as Hidden Mountain’s Baronage will be added to the 39 years of Hidden Mountains history as they sadly retire. The Barony welcomes a new Baron and Baroness on this special day!  We will have Heavy fighting, Rapier, Youth Fighting, A&S, Archery, Bardic and like all birthday parties there will be prizes, celebration, a wonderful feast, and comradery!  Please come join us!

ADVANCE RESERVATIONS are required, due no later than March 22, 2023.

Refund  Policy:

  1. All requests for refunds shall be made in writing prior to the end of the event.
  2. Refund requests from those not in attendance at the event should be made via email to the autocrat and/or Baronial Exchequer at their published email addresses. Such requests must be dated no later than midnight of the last day of the event.
  • All refunds will be at the discretion of the HMFC. While the Barony makes every effort to honor refund requests, it reserves the right to refuse requests received after completion of the event, requests associated with unprofitable events or for feast seats cancelled less than 24 hours before feast which cannot be resold.

Youth:  Baron Robert the Banished will run youth armored combat for HMBB.  Points will be awarded to each combatant displaying heraldry.

BardicMusical Performance, Vocal (Solo or Ensemble)

Largesse Competition (Baron and Baroness will select the winner):  There will be a *bakers dozen competition of your chosen medium in Baronial colors of black and white or the mountain motif.

*Bakers Dozen = You make 13 items of your choosing to enter the competition. 12 items go to  Largesse (gifties the new Baron and Baroness will give away at future courts) and the 13th item goes into the basket towards the winner of the Largesse Competition.

Display –  A display area (not part of the competiion, just simply ‘show and tell’ of your work) with properly clothed tables and notecards will be available for both the competitions and displays.

Childrens Activities – Lady Kathryn of the Doves will have a children’s pavilion with children activities. There will be a ring making class scheduled during the day.

Please contact THL Constantia if you wish to help in the kitchen during the day. She is always willing to teach and appreciates any extra hands.

From the South:  Get on I-20 E, Follow I-20 E to US-401 N in Darlington County. Take exit 131 from I-20 E, Follow US-401 N and SC-912 N to Girlscout Rd in Marlboro County

From the north:  Get on US-1 S in New Hill from Beaver Creek Rd and Pea Ridge Rd, 14 min (10.2 mi), Continue on US-1 S to Marston 1 h 1 min (59.3 mi), Continue on NC-177 S. Drive to Girlscout Rd in Marlboro County

Site Restrictions:

Smoking in designated areas only.

No guns permitted on site.

Service animals will be admitted with a rabies tag, however if their behavior becomes a problem, they will be removed from the event, as per ADA rules.

RVs allowed but no hookups available Parking Rules Enforced.
